Carrageenan, also known as Irish moss gelose or Eucheuman, is a natural hydrocolloid extracted from certain species of the class Rhodophyceae (red seaweeds). Carrageenan is widely used as emulsifier, stabilizer, thickener and gelling agent in food industry. It is the essential ingredient in gummy candy, jelly dessert, meat product, ice cream and diary product.

Lubao carrageenan is extracted from top quality seaweeds harvested in Philippines and Indonesia, and manufactured with state-of-the-art technology. It is characterized by its good clarity and high gel strength. The quality is strictly controlled to conform to international standards.

Our major products include pure refined kappa-carrageenan, semi-refined kappa-carrageenan and semi-refined iota-carrageenan. To meet the specific needs of our customers from various areas in food industry, we also formulate blended carrageenan for use in gummy candy (LR series), jelly dessert (LG series) and meat product (LH series), respectively.
